DAK catalog CD-ROMs

  The newest DAK catalog is offering BRS CD-ROMs for $299 (internal)
and $399 (external including interface cards). That sounds like an
awfully good deal to me. I think someone said the BRS drives are OEMd
by Sony.
  But the text says that the drives run at "a fast 350 ms." If that's
not a misprint, that sounds awfully slow to me, almost floppy-drive
slow. Is this a reasonable speed for a CD-ROM?
