But I'm remembering that some Hungarian kids I played with when I was,
oh, 10 or 11, had a dog named Fetti (or possibly Fetty; never saw it
written). And her name was rapidly getting anglicized to "Fatty";
whether the original Hungarian name had any relation to the German noun
 I don't know.
