My Mail Server is acting up again, so this might not go out.

I've had a couple of tiny xpl routines, POSITION and RETURN, loaded onto keys for maybe 12 years or
more. They may actually hark back to a utility set by Doug _____ (Kramer ?), who at one time worked
for XyQuest. Anyway, works fine in a one-shot fashion, in a single file, in a single
session, but not much use for multiple files / sessions / markers. Carl mentioned some stuff in .U2
that addresses a lot of this issue, and I'll try them out and probably include them in the
repertoire of U2 things I've familiarized myself with.

Your insight into the Page Element situation is interesting, and consistent with what I suspected.
