Re: DOS v Win encoding

Robert, I did download the fonts - - but I do use
TT for XyWrite - - Lucida Console, 24 pt in my 43
line Windowed XyWrite environment, so I can't
imagine they're actually doing anything.
To clarify what I want to be able to do - - just
be compatible with Windows ANSI files for simple
WE accented characters. I.e., if I have the word
épuisé I want it to be the same in XyWrite as it
is in Win. The reason is that for documents that
actually need to be printed or pdf'd, I am
primarily using XyWrite these days to prepare
text for Quark 7/8, using the all-text .xtg format.
Also, I have just realized, since U2 only works
when I am logged in to editor's directory, that I
don't have editor in my path. Will I be clobbered
if I ask how to add it to my path in Vista?
(Ducking) with thanks - -
