There are many ways to do this, but I will suggest something your sales
rep would not normally try to sell.


Dell has great workstations, and for the job at hand, these offerings
might be just the ticket.

Get a 32-bit Windows 7 Pro with a Xeon processor. 4 GB is all this kind
of system can use, so there is no need for more. Great performance and
compatibility. Transfer your Xy and WP setup to a USB stick, and copy
the files to the new system. Use as you used to do on the XP system.


Or you can have a similar system for half the price at ebay, try this
search: Dell Windows 7 32-Bit Pro xeon.


Alternatively, if money is no object, order a new system with 32-bit
Windows preinstalled.
