You can run a number of VDosPlus instances (with different settings)
at the same time, I do this all the time for testing. Just install
them in different directories.

Kari's right; installing the two branches in separate directories is
also an option (and maybe the more comfortable one). Either way,
launching concurrent sessions with window frames and distinctive
window titles is the way to go, for evaluation purposes. To do a
proper comparison, you will certainly want both sessions to be running
the same XyWrite setup.
