ol' 76= is where I've put ASCII 27 as well. I use 1=Q7,NI,CC to toggle between
the header and the text. (That's a habit I got using Personal Editor.)

Do you use 76=NI,[ASCII 27] or do you run it plain vanilla?

In any event, I think the problem is 3.50, since I've loaded the keyboard
without any other defaults and I still have the problem. I'll ask XyQuest to
ship the upgrade. That should take care of it.
