Carl,

Maybe it is just static electricity (on the motherboard). Normally, when
these things have happened, I have tried to:

1) deconnect the keyboard,
2) de-electrify the motherboard by taking the battery out.

On further testing, the problem only happens with my home
keyboard,


And now the problem appears to have stopped since the calendar flipped to Jan. 1. Delayed Y2K? More
likely just an erratic keyboard.
