The current installer creates (or modifies) an AUTOEXEC.BAT file in
C:\otvdm\C\ with this one line (the path depends on the directory you
chose):
PATH=C:\XW;%PATH%
If your system doesn't have that file after installing, could you
download the current version? Or there may a permissions issue on your
system that's getting in the way.
If you right-click on the installer, and check Properties/Digital
Signatures you should see the date Saturday, January 11, 2020, 6:59:39 p.m.
Future builds with have a version number higher than 1.0.0.0.
