DOSBox-X version 0.83.7 released!

Hi all,

The latest version of DOSBox-X (0.83.7) has been officially released. Unlike vDosPlus, DOSBox-X is a cross-platform DOS emulator with the goal of being a complete DOS emulation package. So it supports all major platforms including Windows, Linux and macOS, and it covers virtually everything in the DOS scene, including DOS shell, DOS applications, DOS games, Windows 3.x and 9x etc. So XyWrite and other DOS programs are of course officially supported:-)

There are quite a few improvements in this new release, such as support for both 32-bit and 64-bit x86 dynamic core, full Ctrl+Break handler, save files and save remarks, new clipboard copy and paste features (including non-Windows platforms), Opus CD audio tracks, FluidSynth in Windows MinGW builds, mounting multiple disk or CD images from menu, along with a lot of usability improvements such as easier to navigate DOSBox-X default configuration file and reorganized menu items.

You can find the DOSBox-X 0.83.7 release notes here:  https://dosbox-x.com/release-0.83.7.html

Windows installer and Linux Flatpak packages are officially available to ease the installation, in addition to other packages including portable packages for Windows, macOS and DOS. You will find the official downloads for them from the DOSBox-X homepage: http://dosbox-x.com/

Direct download to the Windows installer: https://github.com/joncampbell123/dosbox-x/releases/download/dosbox-x-v0.83.7/dosbox-x-windows-0.83.7-setup.exe

Many thanks to Edward Mendelson for code-signing the Windows installer.

And the official Linux Flathub page is here: https://flathub.org/apps/details/com.dosbox_x.DOSBox-X

Please check out the official version.

Note: The new x86 dynamic core is implemented for the purpose of improving speed. You may want to set "core=dynamic" and "cycles=max" in the configuration file (dosbox-x.conf) for this.

Thanks a lot for your support!
