Re: A reprogrammable keyboard alternative - draft layout

My Cherry project is progressing. After careful thought, I made a custom layout that should be more usable than the unfortunate (SAA-compliant, i.e. fusioning mainframe, AS/400 and PCs) IBM PS/2 type layout. Function keys are grouped into horizontal pairs that are more in tune with DOS programs, and different shifted state combinations are easier to find and to enter. Esc has been moved to a position that is reminiscent of the original AT keyboard. The triplet of PrintScreen/Scroll Lock / Pause/Break has been relocated to avoid accidental keypresses. As you can see, there are 26 relegendable keys available for special purposes in this layout. (See attached Cherry standard layout and my custom draft layout for DOS users, etc.).
By the way, I happened to come across with this buckling spring keyboard
revival project which is soon expiring. https://www.modelfkeyboards.com/
