I am thrilled to try both versions. I've been running the Dosbox-X one for a while.

But I'm having a problem with the VDos version installation on a Mac running Monterey 12.6.2 .

In Terminal, the command:

xattr -rc (plus the trailing space)

pops up an error message: Not enough arguments for option -c .  The same with or without the space, or xattr -c with or without the space.

The new DosBox-X version immediately found my working XY directory -- very nice!

What's the procedure for pasting from XY to the Mac clipboard?

The group already knows about these two systems for running XyWrite 4 on the Mac, one based on DOSBox-X, the other using vDosPlus under Wineskin, and the group already knows that they exist only because Carl did all the work of making XyWrite portable.
