28=Q8$X
Jesus H. Christ! There's a Q8?! You can't believe the hours I've put in on
this, and now, an undocumented Q8 appears, deux ex machina, to do the job
so simply! I'm pleased, but left open-mouthed.
I had even looked within the binary of EDITOR.EXE for Q1, and noticed a
table, apparently of all pfuncs, that went up to Q8, But it never occurred
to me to try pre-pending any Qn above the highest the keyboard file has: Q6.
Q8 is best known as the spell-check function that replaces the
questionable word with the highlighted word.
Best-known? The original XY4.KBD has no Q8. Now I'm wondering what Q7 does.
And you retain your alternate Enter
key|Helpkey functionality. Eat your cake, have your cake.
Pretty neat, huh?
I'll say!
I woke up early this morning, couldn't sleep, kept thinking: VA$KC, VA$KC,
VA$KC . . . it's right in Carl's new code! Not and $SC but $KC! Then I
was going to test for VA$KC being 59 - 64 and the appropriate pfunc
(Q1 - Q6).
BUT there's a Q8!
Thanks, problem solved, case closed.
Carl, what else do you know that I don't know? :)
