Xy on Mac revisited

I'm ready to bite the bullet and buy a Mac.
Has anyone tried running XyWrite with Parallels? If so, with what
operating system? I am trying to figure out what would be
optimal--MS-DOS 6.22 or some flavor of Windows. However I want to avoid
the problems with running Xy on XP.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
