Patricia:
I have XyWin running on one HP desktop and one (old) ThinkPad, both under
XP. But I could not get it to run on a newer ThinkPad (T43). A techie
thought there was a software conflict. By adding Windows 98, I got it going,
but that is unsatisfactory because, for example, 98 does not recognize USB
ports.
Did you install under Windows safe mode or just copy all the files and find
it worked?

Subject: XyWin on XP revisited
Am setting up a new netbook, running XP Home/SP3, and XyWin runs fine.
That's 3 AMD boxes (one Home, two Pro) plus this Intel (and an Atom at
that--and no discrete VGA) that I've gotten XyWin running on. Why do
others have such problems? Not that I really need XyWin, thanks to
Robert's TYP, but it will be nice to use my TT fonts again.
