I also converted the passage back into XyWrite and found no size
or em-dash anomalies on printing to a H-P LJ4 under XyWin 4.12.
However, in order to print the dashes and other extended
character-set characters, it is necessary to load the Windows
printer driver, because Times New Roman is a Windows, not a
XyWrite, font; thus the XyWrite HPLJ-2.PRN loading would be
irrelevant.
I also copiesd the entries to fill a page and still found no
anomalies, but I note that the "Im Walde" entry uses four
lines rather than three with these settings.
For the record, my default settings are as follows:
FD=66LI,PW=85DI,LM=0DI,RM=0DI,OF=10DI,10DI,OR=0,
TP=3LI,3LI,BT=3LI,3LI,2LI,6LI,IP=0DI,0DI,0DI,FL,NJ,
HY=1,WD=2,OP=2,GU=2DI,0DI,ET=+0LI,EE=+0LI,
UF=COURIER,SZ=12PT,12PT,SY=8U,10,0,3,MD=NM,AL=1,LS=1LI,
LL=0LI,0LI,
TS=6DI,12DI,18DI,24DI,30DI,36DI,42DI,48DI,54DI,60DI,66DI,72DI,78DI,84DI
Some of these defaults may affect the results.
