Ken Frank noted: "As far as HTML (and SGML) support is concerned
we will undoubtedly be doing work in both areas. THe real issue
is the timing vis a vis other initiatives. And that is not
presently resolved. That is to say, at the moment those projects
are not at the top of the stack."
Read it and weep. Remember Ed Mendelson? Has xpl programs in Art
Campbell's v3 book, and is gentle when he reviews xyWrite for ZD
mags. The 13 June PCMag
I mentioned (Ray Duncan's primer that overlooks xyWrite as an
html text editor) also has a First Look by Mendelson at
Quarterdeck and MS html utilities. Others, none so well suited as
xyWrite, are speeding to join the gold rush. Is the word timely
in the TTG vocabulary?
The different drummer TTG marches to is beating a dirge. That
stack needs to be shuffled. --annie
