XyWrite & OS/2

Are you now running OS2?
I'm having a bizarre problem: XyWrite 3+ doesn't always put a
carriage-return/line-feed where it should. Sometimes, it just puts a LF. This
resulted in several dozen maimed *.CMD files for me, recently.
Creating a file of some 200 lines, storing it, then loading Mail.Prn, then
TYF-ing the file to another name, then re-examining it shows a random pattern
of missed CR/LFs. The same is true if I simply store it using my normal *.prn
file's defaults.
I had to use OS2's "E" editor (well, it works, but it redefines "basic") to fix
everything.
Any ideas? (Have I explained this properly?)
