Re: Messing with AUTOEXEC.BAT
A nice feature of the new OS/2 is that you can hit alt-f1 at a crucial moment
during bootup and get a menu; continue, boot with the previous version of
config.sys, boot with the previous previous version of config.sys, etc. Also
an option to boot with vanilla vga in case your SVGA is screwed.
Very handy option. Means that you often don't have to resort to a boot disk.
There is a pleasant utility called deskman/2 that allows you to save system
settings and desktops (multiple versions, and even switch amongst them!) so
that you can screw up to your heart's content. Actually this is useful during
initial customizing and only a little after that; such is the nature of
insurance.
