Hmm, you aren't using windows and you can't work your rodent.
Okay, look at your config.sys file and see if there's a line in there that says
device=c:\mouse.sys.
If there is, then look in your c:
(root) directory and see if such a file is in evidence.
If not, there's your problem.
If there is a mouse.sys in root, but no device driver loaded in config.sys then
that's the problem.

Wait, there's more! It's possible that your mouse uses, not mouse.com.
If so it may be in the root directory, or perhaps in c:\mouse, which is where
some install programs put that. Look for it.

If you have such a file add this line to your autoexec.bat: c:\mouse or c:
c:\mouse\mouse (forget that second c: above, my error)
