> Robert, it's UNBELIEVEABLY fast - - oh, this is the way > computers are _supposed_ to be !!!!! I agree. MARKUP.PM is now finished, after extensive and scrupulous testing by Paul Lagasse through several intermediate versions. v1.0f dated 8/15/2008 is clean. An instructional (Help) file MARKUP.HLP is included. Read it first! Lots of interesting info. But this is a breeze to use. If you've forgotten, the purpose of MARKUP.PM is to change pairs of characters to different characters. Both the original pair and the change-to pair can becomplementary , like ` and ' or curly single|double quotes or and ; or they can be the _same character_ used on \both sides\ of a *statement*. Examples are displayed in the Help file. Default conversion From-To "sets" can be Saved to disk for automatic re-use. The program can fix human errors of all sorts. In short, MARKUP handles every situation I can conceive of. Read the Help file first **in XyWrite** and then practice on a dummy file (a copy, say, of a real one, with lots of different kinds of tags), to learn how MARKUP works. MARKUP will be a frame in the next U2, which will be a more convenient way to operate it than RUNning it manually.
