to be working in XyWrite, and do lots of search-and-replace's
of longer strings on the fly, while I am working on the

I'd love to be able to have wildcards both in the search and

Wolfgang--It probably will do you no good in xyDos 4,
but the (xyWrite 3) !xyWiz s&r managers !^v/!v^ do this,
cv[a]/ci[a], as did their !FILEpro predecessor. Not 100
per cent reliable as ci[a], so !SNR (herewith) makes
a tmp SNR table on the fly (define search string in
open xyWrite file; CMline arg to !SNR is the replace
string) and "do"es an SNR s&r (equivalent to ci) from
cursor position to end of the open xyW file. SNR v5+
accepts wildcards on each side of equation. If this
xyW3 code doesn't work in xyDos 4, tell it to the guys
who say there aren't any xpl porting issues. ... Ciao. 	--a
