Hi Robert,
Yes, UNICOWS.DLL is installed. I checked two days ago to make sure the
version provided in U2 was in the directory where editor.exe is located,
and discovered that there was a different older version there. I replaced
it with the U2 version, and the clip crashes seemed to stop. Then it
happened again late today, which prompted tonight's email.
I also just tried the above U2 command you suggested and it loaded the
help screen with no problems.
As for the other minor bugs: I get the Xywrite listserv as a digest, so
I only got your messages today at 12:10 AM my time on the East Coast,
U.S.A. I will do some of the debugging procedures you suggest tomorrow
and report back.
Some quick points however. When I said that I pressed CTL-ALT-SHIFT to
clear the locked state, I misspoke. What I have since learned was that
this action wasn't doing anything to clear the problem. In the process
of pressing lots of keys to try and clear the problem I would also press
my XTRA control key, and that was what did it. Since then I have
determined that merely pressing XTRA once unlocks the keyboard.
As for calling this a "U2 bug", sorry. I thought I had corrected that
misstatement with my second email.
Bob
