jb: Set v3 screen colors the same way as in v4--from a ;pr;
(line 1) file you load from startup.int. You might choose to
configure other v3 defaults there as well and call the file
SETTINGS.DFL. Pick your colors from any help file color chart.
Use your xyDos 4 SETTINGS.DFL md settings as a form; if you
search the line:
MD NM= you should find a section of MD settings (don't try to set
a v3 MD IT or MD
