Sad news about Morris. He was multi-faceted, as I discovered in my
correspondence with him, on-list and off- (yet I had no idea he was
a runner, an affinity we never had occasion to discuss). Morris was
unparalleled in his enthusiasm for XyWrite, and, especially, for
XPL. He worked hard at programming, and in time became quite good
at it. More than once, his seemingly ingenuous questions led me to
rethink my own work, or sparked new ideas. For that, and for his
many kind words over the years, I'll remember him with appreciation.
