 May I ask what my turn out to be silly questions here?
 I've never had to use ANSI, at least, not that I am
 aware of. When I write in French using XY4, I rely on
 my knowledge of the Alt+number pad key combination,
 i.e., Alt+130 produces "e" acute, etc., and I can produce
 all of the other needed French accents. I've even
 created a little chart for the more rarely used accents.

 1. What advantage would it be for me to use ANSI?

   and this may be directed to those of you who are
   using TAME more than to the general list,

 2. Is TAME compatible with ANSI?

 Forgive me for the simplicity of my questions.
