Did you try Tame 5.1 (in any of the pre-release versions)?
I did try Tame 5.x at one point, and while the additional screen fonts and size variations were charming, it caused some other snafu or snafus--mercifully lost to memory now, like other life traumas--that sent me back to Tame 4.5e, probably forever. I'm sure that 5.x could be made to work, but perpetual beta-testing of Tame is just not my idea of a good time.
