First _copy_ the editor.exe to one floppy. No point in compressing it.
You won't save very much space. Then, there's another exe file
IBM2TIF.EXE. I have no idea what that's for. I have never used it.
Hopefully Carl will tell us all what it is and whether it's still
needed. If so, copy it to another floppy.


Then compress everything else but the help file. You may want to divide
this into files starting A-H, I-M, etc. That way you should have four
*.zip files and you can evaluate how many more floppies you need.


This will also give you a chance to clean out the folder. Amazing what
you might be able to delete when you concentrate on that, yes?


Finally, sigh, the help file must be dealt with. You will probably have
to compress it across two floppies. This can be done with the old dos
version of PKZip, but I'm afraid that I must quote Bismarck here, "there
were only three people who understood that [treaty]. Two are dead. I am
the third, and I have forgotten."


But seriously, the odds are excellent that Carl or Patricia or Harry
have not.
