Most recent releases of memory managers (I use QEMM) allocate it dynamically to
EMS and XMS, which means you don't have to think about which your application
uses. I use a number of XPL programs, mostly small (which you can download as
XPLNS.ZIP). I find that the information in the v. 4 Cmd Ref Guide covers most
of it, except for the need to turn error messages off in many programs
originally written for v. 3. If you put programs together from subroutines, it
is not hard to rejimmy the srt and replace the old one with the new. But it is
time we lobby TG to release more adequate documentation for XPL--ideally in a
text file, not on paper.
