DonCraft@xxxxxxxx said (in so many words):
<- ≪ I can imagine putting ASCII 126 and 127 at a different
<- place on the Xy keyboard, but have you managed to convince Xy that
<- the
<- French hairpins are not the signal for an in-text command? ≫
<- Exactly!
<- But you need a file editor such as PCTOOLS, SECMOD or such to exchange
<- each of the ≪ and ≫ characters with ASCII 126 (the "~" ) and the
<- ascii 127 (looks like a little house) If you look in the Data section
<- of the code, not the programming section, you will see the ≪ and ≫
<- here and there. That is what I changed... It works but you need to
<- also work on the formatting sections for spell checker and various
<- places after you replace the ,≪ and ≫. The ones to change are in
<- the part close to the screen logo--by the serial number.
Aaargh. No.
This reminds of the scene in Night At the Opera where Chico, pretending
to be a famous aviator, is explaining how they fly to America. It's long
and funny, (so we runna outta fuel just a beforra we land, so we turn
back to get some more....., finally, we takea da boat. And that's how we
fly to America.)
As I sketched in a previous message XyWrite easily permits the use of
guillemets.
