Simple:

1) Stop XyWrite4, if running

2) Download MakePortableXy4.zip

3) Use an unZIP utility (pkunzip, unzip, winzip, winrar, etc) to
extract files XyWWWeb.U2, XyWWWeb.REG, and XY4.DLG from the
ZIPfile, and put those files in Editor's directory.

4) Start XyWrite.

5) Command LOAD XyWWWeb.U2 

6) Follow the instructions for building Portable Xy4 (in
ReadMe.1st).

Portability means that they don't have to do ANY configuration.
They can ignore the presence of U2. Everything will work
normally.
