BTW, why do you call this -- and why am I repeating -- "U2-two minor bugs"? I
see nothing in your msg about U2 bugs. Anybody perusing message headers says
"Oh, that buggy U2 thing again". Not fair. Not warranted. User error:
plenty. Bugs: none that I'm aware of, at this moment. Doubtless there are
some. But none that I'm aware of. Well, yes, I take that back. The
EXPonentiation function (frame EXP) doesn't do negative exponents properly. My
son and I have been arguing about it: he says that a negative exponent, e.g.
10^-4, is actually taking a quarter root of 10 (U2's ROOT function doesn't do
negative roots either!). Whereas I say that that's meaningless notation: how
can you do 10 to the power of -4?? Nonsense! Anyway, I changed the
descriptions in XyWWWeb.INF to say that these two functions only handle
positive exponents, which I guess means that they are now defined to not have
bugs. Anybody know the truth of this? I do take some pride that many high
level languages, like Rexx, can't even calculate roots! But U2 calculates
them, darn fast and darn accurate too.
