If the unrecognized command in the error message is ";", my guess is
that you put a space in front of a semicolon. Robert H's recommendation
to compare the file with a backup should turn it up. Verbum sap to
everyone else: keeping a backup of any files you intend to customize can
avoid hours of misery.
