Harry,
The reason the capitals are shorter is to give more space between
lines than Consolas has. If you compare lines of each in
side-by-side windows, you'll see that Cousine gives more air between
lines, vertically.
Yes, that was immediately evident, and I liked it, too. What bothers
me a bit is that the ascenders on some lowercase letters (b d f h l,
for example) are, or appear to be, taller than the capitals. OK, it's
a style (cf. Peignot), but on the DOS screen it niggles at me. I will
say, though, that Cousine looks better to me with LINS=30 and COLS=85.
(I was using LINS=35 and COLS=80.)
