Harry, can you give us a step-by-step for installing this? I'm using XP Mode in Win7 and I'm wondering what the advantages are for Virtual PC, besides the difference between a 30MB program and a 250MB program.

The most nimble solution is, of course, VirtualPC 2007 with DOS additions
from VPC 2004 and MS-DOS and Win 3.1x for DOS box windowing support.
For nimbleness, I don't think you can beat Win 7 32-bit. No separation
between Xy and all the other features of Win 7.
