SORRY - Forgot to include message:
Sir:
The test indicates the printer is set for DOS applications except that
it is not set fr LPT1. When I try to print the test line of text from
EDIt I get a message that the "Canon XXX printer on LPT1 is unavailable"
(which is my former default printer and will be my default printer when
I again return to my home from this summer site so I can't remove it).
The Lexmark is on the uSB port and nothing is attached to the LPT port.
Obviously I installed something incorrectly. What do I need to do to
correct the situation?
Your diagnosis is perfect - THANKS - I'm waiting for the correction.
