Has anyone on the list tried a KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) switch, which
connects two computers using a single shared monitor, mouse, keyboard and

2005), it sounds like an easy way to set up two computers at one desk.
They work, but it wouldn't do what you want. A KVM switch is fine when
you're using the different computers at different times. But if you want
to copy files from a drive on PC Anna to a drive on PC Beth, they BOTH
have to be on at the same time.
Actually, I understand XP has some kind of mumbo-jumbo of caching files
that you copy to an offline PC and then writing them when it comes on.
But they will at some point have to be both on at the same time.
