Huge resources for Emacs, it's large.
It is modeless, the Ctrl and Alt keys
do the work and unlike 'vi' the visual
'ex' editor, you don't switch to the
command line.
Macros are created all the time and you
can map anything to any key.
There are various copies for DOS, Windows, OS/2
etc. in various subsets or full sets, the
latter taking up many megabytes.
There are vaious subsets such as xnotemacs
and JED
