Right, Adriano. But you *need* to put a 3-byte tilde in the .KBD
file to get a key that produces a 1-byte tilde. And (in the second
example) you need to put a 5-byte tilde in the .KBD file to get a
key that produces a 3-byte tilde. The rule of 5-to-3- and 3-to-1-
byte transformations is basic to keyboard-file customization --
applies across the board to all printable-char|control-char pairs
(notably, guillemets). Try it.

A _wood_ saw? I'm assuming it is sized for whittling as opposed to building
a log cabin.

Otherwise, the microsoft metaphor ceases to be accurate.
