printing

Hi all. I hope someone can help. I'm trying to find a printer driver
that will work for me. I'm using Xy3+ on a Win 95 machine and an HP
Deskjet 540 printer. Every driver I've tried so far is inadequate in one
way or another. Today I tried 3deskjet.prn from the technology group
driver web page and it didn't work either--prints OK for the first few
pages, then the printer starts balking, some pages come out with just
the running head, spacing gets weird, etc.

If anyone has any clues to offer, I would appreciate it.
