Anyway, if you do any data or text processing, you really should think about
having a NAS on your LAN. Once you have one you will never know how

No, I did not. Somehow this is probably related to the recent Win 7
volume-license bug

The educational edition had two licenses tied to one key. Anyway, I got
tired of all this and bought a license online, and it worked ok. Case
closed.

As for backup, I bought a couple of Acronis 13 licenses for a farthing
that work with Win 7 machines but not on Win 10.
