Harry and Avrom: Thanks for your views on
XYDOS printing in Windows XP.
However, has anyone figured out how to print
directly from XyDOS in XP without
going through another word processing
program.

So far I have not had a problem using xywrite in xp and printing in
wordperfect 5.1 for dos. rather than fight to print in xp
why not print in
wordperfect 5.1. the word for word filters which I
believe are on the
xywrite.com seem to work fine.

Something is wrong here. First, there are any number of ways
of printing with Xy and one or more of them have to work. E.g., you can
run a routine (Tim Baehr's) to take Xy text and put it, more or less
formatted, into Word or Wordpad or Notepad or ... and print in it from
Windows.
Second, to go to text view, you need only hit a keystroke
(whatever key has the function XP or WG or CM assigned to it. I use
ctl-o to toggle, using CM.
Others, including Robert, have reported no
problems using 4.018 under XP.
