Using Sig+Xy4 Lexicons Together

Dear SysOp:

Not having heard from you, so bumbling on my own for a way to consult at
random either the Signature or the XyWrite Thesaurus, I stumbled on the
following, which is not obvious and not mentioned in the bloody manual. It
allows me to use either Speller also. Is this the intended procedure?

Copy four Signature files PCLEXAM.DL0|1|2|3 to default dir of EDITOR.EXE (e.g.
\XY4)

Make sure that frame {{K,0y}} exists & is LOADed in XY4.DLG file. (Suggest
you change two lines of the frame for superior display, otherwise the Sig
thesaurus is very laborious, you only see maximum 5 - FIVE! - alternates):
 old: 1{Tab}1{Tab}1/0{Tab}0/13{Tab}78{Tab}9/10{Tab}{Tab}8,helv
 new: 1{Tab}1{Tab}0{Tab}1{Tab}80{Tab}22{Tab}{Tab}8,helv

 old: lbc{Tab}108{Tab}2{Tab}+2{Tab}50{Tab}5/7{Tab}IL175?sy
 new: lbc{Tab}108{Tab}2{Tab}+2{Tab}50{Tab}18{Tab}IL175?sy

In SETTINGS.DFL, re-enable two old Sig defaults that apparently aren't part of
standard Xy4 installation (don't even appear anymore on Xy4 lists of defaults):
; Location of Signature DICtionary file (e.g. C:\SIG1D\US.DIC)
 df lx=C:\SIG1D
 ; Type of spelling dictionary
 df ud=US

Then tried to toggle DEFAULT OM. Default OM OldMasticon apparently (?)
controls which dictionary is operative. OM=0 makes the Sig dictionary the
default. To choose a speller, you manually input:

XH «IF«VA$OM»<>31»BX (d om=31)SY PW «EX»«EI»«IF«VA$DT»<1»WG BX (wait)«EI»BX (d
om=0)SY
