Kari, thanks I'll read (or re-read) manual.txt
Harry,
As Carl said, putting EXIT as the last command solves this. Moreover, if
you use the vDosPlus XyWrite installer to configure your vDosPlus
installation, it is just one tick in the appropriate box. If you have
used the vDosPlus installer, you can use it to reconfigure safely your
installation, otherwise, just edit AUTOEXEC.TXT manually. All this amply
documented in the manual.txt of vDosPlus XyWrite (also available in the
documentation package
http://www.lexitec.fi/xywrite/vDosPlus501_Documentation.zip for those
who, for some reason, shun using the installer).
Best regards,

Why kill as opposed to an

the vDosPlus session closes, gently, when you quit
