Jon, Lets do this one step at a time. Probably my instructions were not clear enough. After mapping a folder to drive A:, you should edit your autoexec so that the last lines look like this: REM DO NOT MODIFY THE COMMANDS ABOVE THIS LINE except to set vmode to 7 for MODE MONO A: rem cd \ rem b:drives.bat cd \xy4 Editor exit The ONLY difference from the original is that the line that originally said B: now says A: There is NO new cd line or any other change. ONLY the change of one line from from B: to A: There should be NOTHING that says cd\a: at the end of autoexec.txt or anywhere else. Again, the ONLY change should be to change B: to A: in the place where you see it above. This assumes that your XyWrite directory is in fact named \xy4 inside the folder that youve mapped to A:. If your XyWriite folder is in fact named Britney or Whoknows, then of course the line that reads cd \xy4 should ge changed to match. When youve got your own system running from drive A:, then well go on to the next steps. Also, Ill now make some small changes in response to these questions, so at some point Ill ask you to download a new version.
