U2update.exe is now digitally signed by me. This assures you that the file is source moi and has not been altered. I hope this will promote confidence that the program is benign. Download: https://ammaze.net/xywwweb/dls/U2update.zip Here are the directions I provided earlier: In normal use, U2update.exe is located in the directory with EDITOR.EXE. For trial purposes, however, you may prefer to set up a sandbox in a new, empty directory, apart from your XyWrite setup, and play around with the various options there. The only file you'll need for testing purposes is U2update.exe. Here's the usage: U2update.exe /? [or no argument] U2update.exe /C U2update.exe /D U2update.exe /A Updated files are saved to a staging subdirectory, named .\U2UPDATE, where ZIP backups of previous updates are also stored. From that subdirectory, you can review the latest update and decide at your leisure whether you wish to install it. The revision history, changelog.pdf, summarizes recent additions and revisions. (Needless to say, to "apply" an update, U2update.exe must located in the directory with EDITOR.EXE.) U2update.exe can automate a first-time U2 installation. New users will also need to modify STARTUP.INT and the .KBD file. See readme-u2.pdf for detailed instructions. -- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxxxx
