Reply to note from Kari Eveli <lexitec@xxxxxxxxxxx> Mon, 26 Aug 2024 13:19:52 +0300 Kari, > There are two editions of Xy4 Service Pack (the Service Pack > proper, version 5.03, and the Update, version 5.02). Thanks for this reminder. I think a salient difference between the two, worth pointing out, is that the Service Pack (v5.03) can only be used to install XyWrite 4, whereas the Update (v5.02) can be used to install not only XyWrite 4, but also XyWrite 3+, Nota Bene 3, and Signature -- and if you don't already have the installation files, the Update will supply them. Am I right? And here's a question: the Service Pack notably allows the user to install XyWrite 4 with support for various DOS code pages, including four CPs that were made available to XyWriters for the first time: CP437 (U.S.), CP850 (Western Europe), CP775 (Baltic languages), CP852 (Central European languages), CP857 (Turkish), and CP866X (Cyrillic). Does the Update offer the same choice of code pages when installing XyWrite 4? -- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxxxx
