When I use XyWrite as a text editor for programming and various other purposes, I clearly need the '~' (tilde) character for programming, mathematical, and various purposes. As a consequence, I routinely set default HY=0 (HYphenation), and I also set default DH=(ASCII-127) (R1 R2 R7) (Default Hyphenation char). This allows tilde to be displayed normally, but it suppresses the display of the 7Fh (del) character. (XY doesn't seem to allow setting DH to nothing.) I have done this so long, that I more or less had forgotten that these are not the defaults. But it leaves the question open as to how other users deal with this problem. Since other text processing have their own hyphenation technologies, and I use XyWrite to interface with nearly everything on the planet, I find that XyWrite's hyphenation is best disabled completely. How do other people, in general, deal with this issue? Any comments appreciated. Wally Bass
