Or a single computer, say a new laptop. My script, for example, handles 37 programs that would have
to be installed manually when setting up a new machine. That's a non-trivial amount of scut work,
avoided. In some cases settings will have to be tweaked, of course, but for most of the programs in
question a hands-off installation is all that's needed.

The XDA site is geared toward enthusiasts and pros. These are the kinds of users who are likely to
supplement a plain-vanilla setup with multiple programs requiring manual installation -- and who
would benefit the most from a way to automate the process. I don't think that any likely user would
blink at the prospect of having to edit and run a PowerShell script. I share the article here as an
FYI.
