RE: For vDosPlus users: A query, and a new utility (vHandles.bat)

1. Will play around with it. Thanks Carl.
2. Windows update strikes again.

Harry,

I don't see this with QUITS.PM, but I occasionally do see it in other
contexts. I'm tempted to blame Windows 11, but can't say for sure. Two
possible workarounds: (A) use START to start vDosPlus, as in "start
vDosPlus.exe ...", as opposed to a bare vDosPlus.exe command. (B) If that
doesn't help, you probably have goxy.exe kicking around in your directory
somewhere. (If not, U2EXTRAS has it,
<https://ammaze.net/xywwweb/dls/U2EXTRAS.ZIP>.)
Try adding goxy into the
mix. If you launch vDosPlus with a batch file, make it the last command in
the batch file. (If necessary, quote a (case-insensitive) segment of the
title of your XyWrite window that uniquely identifies it to goxy.exe, for
example, 'goxy.exe "vdosplus-xywrite"'. That should function to shift focus
to your XyWrite window. Actually, you might have to insert a pause before
invoking goxy.exe, to give vDosPlus a chance to start up. You can do this in
a batch file; for example, to insert a two-second pause:

start vDosPlus.exe
timeout /t 2
[d:\path\]goxy.exe "vdosplus"
exit /B

Yep, same here. In this case I *am* inclined to blame Win 11 as I don't
recall this happening before. (If so, it's a bit disconcerting not to have
continuity with regard to basic keyboard functionality, isn't it?) I don't
have a fix, but if you find one, please do let us all know.
